Quartus Response Speed

Hi All, I've noticed that when working with Quartus, at times it will slow down its response speed, and saving a file or project can go from nearly instantaneous to take well over 30 seconds. ...

The license is remote, it's on a server within my facility, the files are all stored locally. Some projects don't display this slowdown, and others do, they all have fairly similar sizes and conditions, so I haven't been able to deduce what the cause might be.
