Quartus Prime Standard Edition - Evaluation license

Hi,

I am new to Altera, and came across Quartus prime tool evaluation feature. And it is mentioned in 'Intel FPGA Software installation and licensing' document that it allows to use the tool for 30 days (with no license file), without programming file support. So does it mean that, I will not be use this feature if I need to try something on board?

    Hi,

    You can create project with all the resources/IP's but after full compilation quartus with 30 days license will not generate .sof which is used for programming (which is used to generate pof/jic files applicable for Quartus STD and Quartus Pro).

    To work on board you can use Quartus Lite Edition with programming file support which will generate sof files to program board.
