Quartus II web edition

Hi ,

i am a Electrical Engennering student at Afeka college at Tel Aviv,Israel.

I download "Quartus II Web Edition Software Version 12.1 Service Pack 1 for Windows " from the Altera official website before 6 months for my final BS.c project .

Today(26.09.13) i open Quartos and i got massage :

"Your maintenance subscription for the Quartus II software expires in 10 days (october 06,2013).

In order to be eligible for renewal pricing you must renew your maintenance before it expires .

Renewing your maintenance subscription ensures that you can download updates and new software releases for the next 12 months."

Do I as a student should pay for the Quartus web edition?

what shold i do now ?

thanks for helping .

appreciate your answer .

Oded.

No you shouldn't get this message for a web edition. Do you have a license installed or a license server configured? The web edition can work without a license.

But in any case this isn't a problem. An expired license will just prevent you from installing new versions of Quartus (subscription edition) but you will still be able to use the one you have installed.

I don't have a web edition to test the license setup here, but I think that you can safely click "Do not display this message again" and "cancel" on the notification window.
