Quartus II v12.0 sp2 problems

thanks for your reply. I found an Altera article concerning this problem with v12.0 and 12.1 and a patch to fix it.Something to do with just having one partition (?).

I'd rather go back to using v10.1, as it didn't give me any trouble. I tried to find the device file for CycloneII, but it doesn't seem to exist independently of the full download. When I downloaded it originally, I thought I had the option of which device support to download, and I unchecked all other device options other than MAXII then as that was all I needed and to save space. The website says additional device support can be downloaded later, if required, but the option to download individual files doesn't seem to exist for this version. Maybe the options appear. Maybe the options appear when the exe is run, I can't remember.

If anyone knows where I can find device support for CycloneII devices as a standalone file for v10.1, I'd be grateful if they point me to it.
