QUARTUS II power analyzer

I am trying to run the Quartus II power analyzer tool on quartus 9.0 version .

I am using a third party generated .vcd file to do the power estimator analysis but it seems like the .vcd file is not being read by the tool because if I check the confidence metric details the toggle rate from simulation is 0%

I would highly appreciate if someone could give any suggestions regarding the same
