Quartus II Function Simulation Issue (Clicked Functional Simulation, no answer)

Dear all,

Start to use Quartus. I found an issue while using Quartus II (ver:13.0.1.232).

Using the block diagram approach, I built a simple inverter with Cyclone II.(input: A_in, output: B_out). Complied it and created a VWF file with A_in and B_out. Assign A_in as a clock signal with a certain period.

Then I pressed the "Function Simultion" button. Then I saw a window quickly pops up and disappear. But there is no change in B_out.

I tried to rebuild the project, same issue.

Could anyone give me a hand?

    I see this is a few years old, but I just submitted a concern identical to yours. Only difference is that the progress window does not disappear for me, but stays open and just never quits. Like in your situation, the output just stays XXXXX. I did not have this problem with Quartus II Web edition 9.1, but I am having it with Quartus II Web edition 14.1.
