Quartus II compilation process turns off PC (windows 7)

Hello,

Sometimes the PC is turn off when quartus (14.0, web edition) entry to the fitter stage during compilation.

Any suggestion to fix this problem?

    I've had that happen as well. In my case it turned out to be overheating due to a loose heat sink. The pc shut off to avoid cooking the CPU.

    Probably you could check also if the RAM utilization exceeding your PC's physical memory available?

    By the way, you can also try with the latest 15.0 to see if still got issue?
