Quartus II 9.1 sp2 stuck at compilation 1%

I am currently working on my own example proj which includes the VIP core.

All other projects compile fine.

But when i work with the VIP core components, the compilation is stuck at 1% and analysis at 4%, no errors. I need to then kill the quartus process to exit.

Any idea why this is happening?

    are you on Windows and do you have Admin rights? there are issues with VIP Suite without Admin rights, though this isn't the particular failure i've seen

    I do have admin rights, set the compatibility to windows xp sp3 and run as admin.

    Working on windows 7, all other proj with sopc builder compile fine. Its only when I incorporate VIP IP's.

    i've used VIP Suite 10.1sp1 on Windows 7, it works (if i run as admin). i'm not sure if the XP Compatibility mode is the problem

    Will download the Quartus 10.1sp1 and try it out,

    was also wondering if there is anyhting to do with the license that is causing me this problem.

    The SOPC Builder build fine

    but when i try and compile in the main program it is stuck at 1% compile & Analysis 4%

    Also when i looked into the project folder i found this in the generated module(please refer attachment)
