Quartus Hangs Up after opening VHDL/BDF files

I'm using Quartus II 8.1 in a linux machine with centOS 5 on it, i'm am able to load projects without trouble, but whenever I try to open a bdf or vhdl file, the program kind of hangs up, like it wer...
