Quartus hangs on startup after 9.1 sp1 install

I've had quartus 9.1 work fine on my Ubuntu Linux system for a while now. I finally decided to install sp1 to bring it up to date. Now, when I start quartus it just hangs with a blank window. ...

Try this:

1. erase ~/.mw folder

2.

Add this line

setenv MWNO_FILE_LOCKING TRUE

at the end of

/opt/altera9.1/quartus/mw/setmwruntime.csh

And add this line

MWNO_FILE_LOCKING=TRUE

at the end of

/opt/altera9.1/quartus/mw/setmwruntime
