Then I'm sorry I don't know what is causing this... Isn't there a more recent version of your demo project somewhere? A version that would already be converted to a more recent version of Quartus?

--- Quote Start --- --- Quote Start --- You can get it from the Download Center: Nope. That gives you file not found for most old releases. Someone broke the links ages ago. I reported this to Altera but it still isn't fixed. --- Quote End --- I just downloaded V6.0 from the Download Center and it is there. If there is any specific file that you cannot find, please report to Altera - Altera_Forum

I tried installed version 6 of quartus 2 with full subscription, i managed to obtained the license. Now i have a problem where my quartus programmer doesnt detect usb-blaster. Inside "my devices" the usb blaster is already installed. It works fine with versions 8,9, and 12. But this version wont detect it......

Do you uninstall and reinstall the USB drivers when you change the version of Quartus? Maybe you could try Quartus 6 with the drivers from Quartus 12.
OR as an alternative you can install both Quartus 6 and Quartus 12, and use the programmer from Quartus 12 with the files generated from Quartus 6. - Altera_Forum
