Quartus 14.1 Web edition (with 14.1.1 patch) hangs on splash screen

Hello all,

I was working for a month with Quartus 14.1.1 using a 2 month trial license and before the license expired, the program wouldnt start again. The problem was that it was spending too much time on the splash screen and when I clicked on it it became unresponsive.

I uninstalled the software and the folder and tried to install it again without result. Then I tried installing the Web edition with the patch and I still have the same results. Now I have reverted back to 14.0 which works but that is not solution. Did anybody have a similar problem?
