Quartus 12.0 programmer stops at 63%

Hi,

I'm currently using Quartus 12 Web 32bits edition on a 64bits-Windows and i'm aving troubles with the programmer.

I build the sof file without problem. Somehow, when I program it to the board, the progress bar stops at 63% and the programmer is freezed. I want to program a Cyclone-IV fpga. I can't find anything on the internet or this forum :(

I don't have any error message.

Thanks

I just downloaded, installed, and tested the standalone, but it keeps freezing at 63%, and i'm unable to stop the programming process.

"Info (209017): Device 1 contains JTAG ID code 0x020F30DD" is the last thing written in the info box.

What programmer are you using? Do you know that it is working properly? Is your FPGA working?

I can advise firstly try another USB port. I mean physical placement. Also You can try to download your program on another PC maybe your PC is susceptible to a breakthrough current from another elictrical devices)

And also maybe your downloading is successive even if programmer freezing at 63%, try to examine it

My FPGA worked just before i encounter this problem. I also know that my program is not the problem because it is the same that i put in the board before too. I use the programmer included in the version of quartus II 32 bits 12.0.

Trying another USB port doesn't revolve my problem :(

I will try on another PC soon.

Even after the 63%, when i test the program on the board, it is not fully implemented, for example my RAM didn't reset.

    Hi,

I suggest two things to check - first maybe the best is to "upgrade" to the latest quartusII WebEdition as the 12.1 comes with a 64Bit "version" of the WebEdition to use on 64Bit systems. This solved also the often discussed issue of USB - Blaster and JTAG Server installation on 64Bit OS.

Besides this have you checked the JTAG chain working properly at all - ok, should as the device seems to be detected...
