it was removed as of 10.0. you can either use QII 9.1sp2 Web Edition or try ModelSim-Altera Starter Edition (free) which has a waveform editor

I use QII 9.1sp2.... wish they would just bring it back. Worked great for little modules.

This point has been longly discussed.

It seems that the nearest choice is using Modelsim that has a feature for waveform editing that is enabled in the version working with QII 10.1.

I don't think it will come back.

Better to learn to use the new software.

If you want to save result of an output signal out[7..0], for example - of a counter - where output is different every clock cycle, how would you go about doing that in ModelSim-Altera-Started-Ed 6.6c?
