Problem USB Cable

I have a Linux machine( MacBook - Ubuntu 9.04 ).

I have installed the Quartus II 9.1 beta software.

The problem is that when I finish to do my design and I'm going to program the Altera Cyclone II board in Tools->Programmer->Hardware Setup, the software does not find the USB-cable.

I have followed also the Driver Instructions adding the file 51-usbblaster.rules in

/etc/udev/rules.d but does not function.

How Can I resolv the problem?
