Problem completing the NIOS II Hardware development tutorial.

I'm not clear on your problem can you not find the Eclipse Software in the start menu? "Nios II EDS 11.0sp1" OR the option to create a new Nios II application within the EDS?

When you installed Quartus 11_SP1 it should have also installed "Nios II EDS 11.0sp1" you can find it in the start menu, should be right above the Quartus 11 Start menu folder.

If it installed correctly you should have the option to create a new Nios II application like you said. You can also create a new application by clicking on the icon underneath the File menu (widow with a plus), make sure to click on the down arrow, and then selecting Nios II application and BSP from Template
