I just tried to generate HDL and this error occurred just about one hour ago. When I installed the patch from the link, it generated the HDL. I just bought DE10-nano with Cyclone V SoC. ​

I am seeing this issue on 18.1 std. can you please let me know if there is a patch for that?

i had the same issue on my machine with quartus 18.1 std and spent weeks on trying to understand why this was happening. after weeks i found out that the sw Carbon black was actually blocking some nios scripts from running on my machine which was causing this from happening.

Same Issue on Windows 10, Quartus Lite v21.1. Tried running as administrator but no change. Looked at my anti-virus logs but didn't see anything there either.

today I have the same problem. The main reason is that I did not install Ubuntu 18.04 LTS on the Windows subsystem as described in the instructions as below. After I completed the following requirements, everything works fine.

I used the latest version 22.1.1 of Quartus on Windows 10.
