New ContributorPerpetual license Quartus II doesn't allow to build Cyclone V devices anymore.
We have been using Quartus II for certain smaller designs on Cyclone V for nearly 15 years now, but now, after re-generating the license again I can now still run Quartus II, but it gives me the er...
I managed to get the issue resolved by updating my Linux OS to a newer version.
The license server (lmgrd) version which I was using was outdated,
and the latest version of lmgrd did not seem to work correctly on my previous Linux version.
Now all licenses are working correctly again.

New ContributorI was finally able to generate the license file, I simply used my build PC itself to setup the fixed license server.
However, I am now still unable to build CycloneV devices with Quartus Prime standard edition 20.1.
Which license exactly do I need to build CycloneV devices with Quartus ?

I think there're some confusion. For Quartus Prime standard edition 20.1, ypu need this (screenshot):
