No Source available for "" Error

When I attempt to debug my Project, I get the "No Source available for "" " error message as shown in the attached screen shot. Even though the Project compiles and loads correctly, it doesn't seem to be running because it does not product the expected serial IO output message.

How do I make the source available so that I can debug what is happening. This project was previously working and now it has started giving the above error.

Yes, I have found a "workaround". What I was trying to do was to move a Qsys/NIOS SBT project from one FPGA Device Family to another one. After getting the above mentioned error. I went back and started a new Qsys/NIOS SBT project in the new Device Family instead of trying to move the project. This seemed to clear up a whole host of issues that I was running into. Hence, I am ready to close this case. However, if you are aware of a tutorial on how to move a project from one device family to another, I would greatly appreciate receiving a link to it.

    Thanks for your assistance,

    Bill

      Hi,

Thanks for your response. The Link that you provided suggests porting the project to the NIOS II SBT for Eclipse. The project is already in the NIOS II SBT for Eclipse. However, this project was copied from another project that was implemented in a different FPGA Family. It does have the same Qsys System as the previous project, but is being implemented in a Cyclone 10LP device instead of the previous Max 10 device. Maybe, what I really need is a reference/tutorial on how to migrate a NIOS II SBT for Eclipse project from one project to another one or form one device family to another one?

      Regards,

      Bill

    Hi Bill,

Could you just try to change the device name from MAX10 to Cyclone 10LP. Recompile your project and you should be able to eliminate the error.

Hope to hear on your findings.

    Thank you.

    Regards,

    Kelly
