nios

using sopc builder i created a system with cpu,SDRAM,input,output,jtag.which is working fine , i tested using Led and switches.now i want test Half adder circuit i.e i hve vhdl code for half adder and i want to give input to half adder from nios ii ide.input are available in a text file. so is there any way to access the data present in a text file using nios.
