If you could put some sanpshots and photos or the running hardware i think i might be able to help you.

On your DE2 board just make sure on the left there is a switch called program or run.

Always put that switch on run.if you have already put on program and tried to load your design in it you might have override an existing program.

That program is suppose to run every time you turn on the board.
