need more info about Altera courses

HI!

I'm a Music technology student in Ukraine Kiev, and the is a new course in Electronic university about Principles of Design in QUARTUS II medium and Altera Devises... I wanted to know Im I capable to past this coarse or not? this coarse includes five lessons (4 hours each) and consists of a theoretical and a practical part based on modules Cyclone Nios Development Board... I know about theory of signal processing and sound synthesis, I do work with MAX/MSP but I'm new to circuit design and C program... please tell me what is the minimum information which I need to take this coarse and how it is profitable for a Sound Producer...
