Modelsim issue

When I invoke

ModelSim - INTEL FPGA STARTER EDITION 2020.1

Revision: 2020.02
Date: Feb 28 2020

I receive this prompt:

couldn't open "transcript": permission denied
# Reading pref.tcl

How do I fix this problem.

    If you seeing this (as attached), you can safely ignore the error.

    I'm not sure why it's there in the first place, but it won't have any impact on your simulation or anything else.

    As they say, if it doesn't cause any problems, it might not actually be an issue.

    Yes you are right. I ignored that message permission denied. The simulator does work.
