Migrating a design from S3 to S4

When migrating a design from S3 to S4, do the Megawizard generated modules (like PLL, LVDS etc) have to be regenerated for S4 or is Quartus 10.1 smart enough to do that?

Some things will auto convert (memories, DSP, etc.), but other things will not (external memory controllers and more complex IP in general). It is good practice to rerun ALL the MegaFunctions and IP to the latest device family to avoid issues. I also recommend doing this when changing major revisions of Quartus II, even if the device doesn't change. Some things will work, other's won't. I never run into issue with this strategy and I've done this hundreds of times.
