License problems

When i try to retrieve a license from internet i get the message "Can't connect to the Altera website to check for license file update -- check your internet connection and/or browser settings You may need to contact Altera Customer Service." but the internet connection is OK.

I'm using a board given to me from my University so i can't find any product in the Self Service Licensing Center so i cant get the license from the altera licensing page.

When i click on "Web license update" from the Quartus II menu i get the popup that say to buy o get license from the altera site.

I tryied to contact the customer service, when i click on Submit issue i get "Your request cannot be completed, please try again in a few minutes.

what should i do?

    I'm having the exact same problem. Let me know if you find a solution. I tried calling Altera at 1-408-544-7000 but the operators knew nothing about licensing and were generally useless (but nice about it, at least). They couldn't even find someone to forward me on to. I think licensing has been completely outsourced.

    Sorry, is this problem occurring within Quartus? Are you using a proxy server on your connection? have you entered the proxy settings into Quartus (Tools -> Options -> Internet Connectivity)?

    The parts above are the same issue I'm having. I've never gotten the license file for my fresh out of the box Cyclone III board with Quartus software, because the darn self-licensing website is hopelessly confusing and the Customer Service page for submitting problems is broken.
