Is Intel really cutting VHDL-2008 support from Quartus Prime Lite?

Now that Altera is more independent again, and given that they're adding some focus to the lower end FPGA market, I hope they'll reverse this decision soon and provide VHDL-2008 support on Quartus Prime Lite. Until they do though, I'm not planning to use Altera hardware. Why would I when Efinix provides VHDL-2008 for free?

    Hi,
    I doubt if the above linked comparison is still valid regarding VHDL-2008 support. I'm not aware of a difference between Std. and Lite version in this regard.
