Version 9 of Quartus II drew inversion bubbles on inverted ports. It also enbedded "inversion" text into the actual .bsf file. This inversion text is a bitmap of inversion of the port. For example, the tool would display a green "1" next to a single-wire port that was inverted. Version 10 doesn't embed the version text in the bsf, doesn't draw the version bubble and doesn't show the bitmap. Furthermore, when version 9 project is opened in version 10, there are no inversion bubbles, enough though the inversion text is present in the bsf left over from version 9. Furthermore, if I manually draw and inversion bubble in version 10, than open the project in version 9, I get an inversion bubble next to the one that I drew manaully.

i think you should submit this text and some screen shots in an SR to Altera, i would guess it just didn't get implemented in the new 10.0 .bdf editor. your feedback should help it get prioritized into a future release

I know that the bitmap text was problematic in 9.1. You couldn't move or drag the text in the graphical editor. And it would sometimes appear on top of the port name. Kind of messy it was.

Hi,
This is in fact a bug in V10.0, and will hopefully be fixed in V10.1. DK - Altera_Forum

--- Quote Start --- You need to file a Service Request (SR)... In principle, the readers of the Forum do not work for Altera. --- Quote End --- --- Quote Start --- This is in fact a bug in V10.0, and will hopefully be fixed in V10.1. --- Quote End --- I was going to say that it would both be nice for us, and also helpful for Altera itself, if we would have some (unofficial) Altera presence in the board. In cases like this, it really doesn't make much sense to insist in the OP filing an SR. An Altera employee could easily see this thread, check it and file the bug. But seems davka either works for Altera, or has some good insider info. Either way, that's good news.
