I think it takes quite long time.
I suggest you wanna install v9.1sp2 or older. V10.0 is not stable yet. - Altera_Forum

The rev2 installer fixes all the previously reported issues, so this is likely a new one. If you can, please file a Service Request, specifying your OS, anti-virus, and anything special about your setup. Also explaining how do you know that it stopped. Are you getting an error?

Well after uninstalling, rebooting, disabling av, deleting all quartus related files and choosing a different unpack location, installation of the main program completed but it then fell over as soon as it tried to install the Arria devices and no other devices installed.
I've had problems like this with Altera software before. I think I'm gonna have to install 9.1! - Altera_Forum

TheBFG,
We may be able to help you, but you need to give us more details: - Operating System - Antivirus - Installing locally or on a NAS I would suggest trying to installa all devices just to see if that works (I believe V9.1 forces you to do that anyway). Thanks, - Altera_Forum

I've just tried install on my laptop - falls over in exactly the same way when it starts to try and install the devices starting with the Arria device.
No response to my Altera SR yet. - Altera_Forum

I had the same problem. If you don't deselect the 2 Arria devices from the install options, it should work.
