Solved

ibis_writer.py "Execution has failed. Reason is: Parasitic file not found."

Trying to generate an IBIS model for my implementation using the 23.1 instructions and ibis_writer.py script and I get:

"Execution has failed. Reason is: Parasitic file not found."

"Error occured. Look in the error log file ibis_writer.log for more details"

There is no ibis_writer.log that I can find. so Any help please?

    Hi Brian,

Can you share with me the procedure you used to generate the IBIS model or the instructions you followed?

    Also, what device is this?

    Regards,

    Aqid

    Followed the instructions in $QUARTUS_INSTALL_DIR/common/misc/ibis_writer/README.txt

    quartus_cdb -t /<absolute_path>/intel_type3_cxl_ip_0_ed/hardware_test_design/ibis/dump_atom_netlist.tcl -project /<absolute_path>/intel_type3_cxl_ip_0_ed/hardware_test_design/cxltyp3_memexp_ddr4_top.qpf

    $QUARTUS_INSTALL_DIR/common/misc/ibis_writer/ibis_writer.py --mutual_inductance true --pin_file /<absolute_path>/intel_type3_cxl_ip_0_ed/hardware_test_design/output_files/cxltyp3_memexp_ddr4_top.pin --atom_file /<absolute_path>/intel_type3_cxl_ip_0_ed/hardware_test_design/atom_netlist.json /<absolute_path>/intel_type3_cxl_ip_0_ed/hardware_test_design/output_files/cxltyp3_memexp_ddr4_top.ibs
