How to simulate NIOS II+ C Application in Modelsim-Altera

Hi everyone!

I have just started study Computer architecture.I built a system by tool SoPC and make a application for it by Nios II SBT.But i have not a FPGA kit.So i choose "application Run as Modelsim-Altera",but a don't know how to start.Could you give me a piece of advice.Steps to simulate in modelsim
