How to set all top level I/O to virtual

I have a design with >200 inputs and about 100 outputs (this is only meant to be a subdesign), totalling well over 2000bits of IO and Im trying to build it to guage how big its going to be. Is ...

in assignment editor I assigned a Virtual Pin (on/enabled) to * and it applied to all nodes in my project (2 clk and 2 buses) and post-map shows they are all Virtual Pins (so it worked).
