how to flash program to cyclone v gx starter kit

I'm a beginner.. kindly tell me the steps to write a simple (usind I/O pins) progam for cyclone v gx starter kit.. and how to transfer it to that kit

    I have quartus 2 software.. after compiling the program, whice format of file i need to send to kit.. and hoe to do it
