How do I compile for ES part?

I need to compile a design for an EP4SGX230 ES part using Quartus II 9.1 SP2. How do I do that?

I am using the ES version of EP4SGX230HF35C2. Under Quartus -> Assignments -> Device I could not find EP4SGX230/ES, so I tried compiling using EP4SGX230HF35C2ES. The compile ran OK, but when I tried to load the device using the programmer I got an error:

Error: The instruction register length for the EP4SGX230HF35ES device at position 1 in the JTAG chain is unknown

Any suggestions? Thanks.

    are you using a Stratix IV GX Development Kit with ES silicon?

    try: EP4SGX230KF40C2ES

    I am using a card not supplied by Altera, which has the STRATIX IV GX ES part on it.
