Have anyone experienced this?

Hi Community,

Last days i have experienced a strange behaviour with Quartus II 9.0 running on Ubuntu 9.04.

I'm writing some class notes, so, a screnshot from Quartus II simulator is taken, the image is pasted and edited using Gimp and finally, edited image is pasted on Openoffice impress 3.1.0.

Randomly, few seconds after image is pasted on Openoffice, Quartus gets blocked (futex_wait) and screen looks white, further it gets unblocked, blocked, unblocked and so on. Just, when Openoffice and Gimp are closed Quartus runs fine.

kernel: 2.6.30.5 and 2.6.28.15 (same behaviour with both of them)

Openoffice: 3.1.0 spanish.

No compiz.

Have anyone experienced this issue?

    i experience occasional white screens on Quartus on Linux, but i don't know how to check block/unblock futex_wait. i usually restart the app. i haven't seen a pattern with other open apps, often there aren't any others.
