Generate .pof file is not work?

Hi All of kindly

I'm from thailand. I newby in Altera product. I've some problem. I code vhdl file and then generate .sof and .pof files. I can loaded sof in CycloneII and the logic signal is correctly as i desire(LED blink). But I try to load pof in config PROM(EPCS16). It work but my LED not blink. I have follow by userguide and i think i not miss. But my it not work. I use to load .pof from example (DE2 board). I work! :eek:

So please suggest me for my problem.

PS. I use to play ISE longtime before change to quartus. I think quartus is quite difficult than ISE. don't think so?

    so if you load your design via jtag (quartus programmer) it works. if you try to store it inside the epcs device it does programm the epcs but the fpga does not start ?

    if you are using quartus 9.1 then this a well discussed bug here introduced in quartus 9.1. workaround, go back to quartus 9.0 or try to get patch 063 from MySupport or wait for the next service pack.

    you tryed to programm an example pof into the epcs device and then your de2 runs from epcs ? but with the same tools flow you can't get your design run from epcs ? did i understand you correct ?

    The DE2 give .pof file. Then I programmed into EPCS16 via Active Serial Programming. It's work(LCD show wording, 7segment count up, blabla..).

    I compile and generate my code to be .pof . And load pof similary. It's not work.

    I think DE2 example code generate pof with quartus7.

    But i used quartus9.1 . It may the reason.

    do you loaded the program to the board?

    was the process finished and completed ?

    I change to 7.2version then my pof file is correct as i desire.

    I think 9.1 web edition is problem. Maybe i should waiting for servicepack of them.

    PS sorry for my english. I think i must be take course in english writing. Haha

    Try to gerenate uncompressed file. I had the same problem and in my opinion there a bug in the assembler. Using uncompressed I can program an EPCS4.
