Thanks a lot for proving that I was not the only one!!!
I finally have been able to generate the system without problems only after uninstalling the antivirus: CA Security Suite, for which I have a legal copy and I have been using it together with Quartus II and the SoPC on my older computer under WinXP environment.
The amazing has been that even if I had Snoozed the Anti-Virus, I was getting the compatibility problem; again, never experienced this before.
Conclusion: I am now using Windows Defender and everything is working fine, again and finally. A total of 16 hours and 2 sleepless nights to figure it out. :D
