Design Suddenly Becomes Time Limited : Vendor: 0x6AF7, Product: 0x010C

I am using Quartus 14.0 & DE1-SoC.

In NIOS II / Eclipse, I generated memory initialization files:-

right click application (not bsp) Make Targets -> Build.. -> mem_init_generate

I then added the .qip file to quartus.

When I recompile the design in Quartus II 14.0 it is now time limited!

So I remove the .qip file, recompile - design is still time limited. Then I deleted the folders containing the .hex files - design is still time limited!

If I look on assembler tab -> Encrypted IP cores I have 3 entries NIOS II 6AF7 00A2, Signal Tap 6AF7 BCE1 Signal Tap 6AF7 BCEC, all of status licensed.

If I click programmer I get this message:-

*.sof contains time-limited megafunction that supports OpenCore Plus feature -- Vendor: 0x6AF7, Product: 0x010C

Any ideas welcome.

It may be your Nios license wasn't updated the last time you updated your license file, so it may be stuck at a max version of 13.1 or ealier.

Well I restored yesterdays backup, made all the same changes as yesterday, and the design compiles. It doesn't make sense but at least it's working.
