Debugging tools

Hi, I'm new to using Quartus and I'm having some trouble debugging a memory controller. I was wondering if there are any tools in it similar to setting breakpoints or being able to step through...

You can only add breakpoints and step through HDL code in a simulator such as Modelsim, but you can't do it on real hardware.

To debug HDL you can use a signal analyser such as SignalTap.
