Cyclone (first series)

Question

Wanted to use the EP1C6F256 for Virtual Jtag generation but this device is not available in Quartus II v12.0.

The previous version was 10 , there it was still possible to use this Cyclone device.

Do I realy need to upgrade the license ?

You don't need a license, you just need to install an older version of Quartus II Web Edition.

I have several versions of Quartus installed for just this reason.
