Altera Quartus II V14.1 for 32bit windows 8 platform

Question

I am experiencing a problem with regards to the newer version of Altera Quartus II 14.1. When I am about to install the Altera Quartus II V14.1, I was interrupted by a notification that Altera Quartus V14.1 will only works with 64bit windows platform in contrary to the statement found in Altera OS Support page of Altera website that it can support 32bit windows platform. Also it is said in Altera OS Support page that there is a need for me to have a 32bit library file so that the 64bit Altera Quartus II V14.1 will run on a 32bit windows platform. Unfortunately I can not find any 32bit library file on Altera download page.

May I request for your assistance on how can I obtain the 32bit library file so that my 64bit Altera Quartus II V14.1 will work on my 32bit windows 8 platform.If possible my I request for your help how can I install Altera Quartus II that can support Altera Cyclone V in 32bit windows 8 platform.

The OS Support only refers to 32 bit binaries for modelsim and JNEye. Quartus 14.1 itself is 64 bit only.

Also, for cyclone 5, Altera recommends 6-8GB of ram, which is not available on 32 bit systems

Yes. Older versions of the web edition support 32 bit. The last version to support 32 bit is 13.1. You may not be able to compile some designed for cyclone V though, as the dev says that Cyclone V is "not recommended" on 32 bit OS. The smaller devices are recommended to have 6GB ram, with the larger ones needed 8GB.
