Are you looking for any version in particular?
64 bit versions for linux have been around longer than windows as far as I can tell. - Altera_Forum

I'm looking for a one in Windows. Does Quartus II 12.1 Sp1 support 64 bit processing?
If so, kindly clarify on how to do that. - Altera_Forum

Yes. It installs the 32 and 64 bit versions during installation. Then you just run the correct one.

thanks tricky for your response. But when I tried to compile a Arria V design (5AGXFB3H6F35C4), I got following error message
"Error (11371): Compiling a design on Arria V 5AGXFB3 requires at least a 64-bit version of the Quartus II software." Does it have anything to do with the license? i mean For 64-bit version is any specific licenses required? - Altera_Forum

Have you loaded the 64-bit version of quartus? It is separate to the 32 bit version.

You will need XP 64bit to load the 64 bit version. (and also 64bit win 7 etc)

Okay. I understand. Can you pls tell how to load the 64 bit version? Should it be done during installation?
I have tried giving quartus --64bit <*.qpf> and quartus_map --64bit<*.qpf> from command prompt. it did not work and prompted an error message that "64 bit flag can be used with this executable". - Altera_Forum
