why uclinux 2.6 kernel become large ?

Hello :

I want to ask why uclinux 2.6 kernel become larger than the ucllinux 2.4?

higher performance ?

    Hello:

    sorry ,I want to ask why the kernel_1.4.0 is larger than the kernel_1.3.0?

    In the 1.4 ,I don't add the tcp/ip,the space is larger than 800k.

    why?

    I have no idea... didn't even notice to be honest. Can you e-mail me a copy of your .config file? I'm curious so I'm willing to give it a try.

    Oh, and a copy of the system PTF file would be good too.
