Why Nios-II ide 9.0 compiles HAL files even if not used

hi,

why does the NIOS-II ide compiles all the HAL files (OS specific and some device specific) files even when they are not used in the project.

It takes a 12 :mad: irritating minutes to compile these files which i am not even concerned about.

Any idea how to disable it from doing so, or how to speed up the compilation process.

    Remove (or disable) the components from the SOPC project, and they won't be compiled in anymore.
