why i must do "run as hardware" two times?

I write a interface for a DDS,but at last i find that i must do "run as hardware"two times,if i want to send some data to frequencywords of DDS.whatever have i writen in the program ,i doesn't w...

Hi,

even i am not so clear about this

also if u "run" with the three debug options

1) downlaod into RAM

2) attach

3) reset and then run from it....

what does hardware and software do individually???

can anybody explain it in detail?

moreover it is no where clearly given in any of the documents of NIOS IDE
