you'd better work on linux and follow the nios wiki, step 1-3.

--- Quote End --- why? Is there something wrong with this method? <div align='right'><{post_snapback}> (index.php?act=findpost&pid=16521)</div> [/b] --- Quote End --- No, there's nothing wrong with it per se. Some things are just easier to do on linux, like adding drivers and so on. Using Windows to create a linux system can be a bit confusing. One of the bad things about using the Microtronic Linux distro is that when you create a filesystem, all the initial programs are included as .exe:s, instead of being compiled during building the project. Therefore you can't modify them or correct any problems that might occur or even try to see what the problem could be. I ran into this problem with init.exe, it just refuses to execute. (The old "init: exec failed" problem I asked earlier here.) So um, yeah, something could be wrong with the method, depending on what you're trying to do http://forum.niosforum.com/work2/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif . One of the bigger advantages of working on linux is that hippo will then help you http://forum.niosforum.com/work2/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif
