Which DDR2 is which?

I've inherited a Stratix V project with little documentation. I find a Stratix V with *two* different sets of DDR2. One is described in the schematic as "dualbyte", consists of two 8-bit-wide chips, and connects to banks 7A/7B/7C of the EP4SGX530KH40I3N. The other is described in the schematic as "octbyte", consists of eight 8-bit-wide chips organized as a LO four and a HI four, and connects to banks 3A/3B/3C. There's a Nios II processor inside running linux, and I am guessing that one of these two memories is used by linux as it's own RAM, and that the other is for special use by one of the linux programs somehow.

But I really don't KNOW anything. Can anyone out there perhaps give me a hint? Where might I look? Might this be derived from some reference design somewhere? What's up?

    Aida, thanks for helping. By "documents" to share, I believe you are referring to the board schematics. Unfortunately I can't share this company proprietary info.

    Is it possible for you to shed some light without the schematic? Please note that I did point out which banks drive the memory. And as DDR2, the type of connections are standard: Address, Data, Bank, DQS, etc.
