Video Input

I am trying to create a system in which I read in video through the Video In port on the NIOS II Evaluation Kit, C3. I 'm really new to this, so I'm not entirely sure how to accomplish this. Do I use a Clocked Video Input component? Can someone point me to an example of how to use this? I tried the one on the Evaluation kit's site, but i can't get it to run.
