VC communicates with Nios II

Anyone here has experience on VC-UART communication (Nios II SOPC)?

We tried serial/serialCom/serialPort libraries in VC to read/write the FPGA UART.

Currently VC can write FPGA with string, but can't not read FPGA properly.

Any suggestion? Any suggested reading?
