20 years agouC/OSII licence
Hello, Can you say me what are licence condition tu use uc/OSII with NIOS ? is there some royalties ? Thanks Etienne
Micrium's post on licensing spelt out what I thought from their website. $3000 for every code wrinkle is just the start, if you add IP, GUI etc you can keep multiplying the costs.
We make low volume specialist products, often with a NIOS cpu. According to the licensing terms we would have to add $3000 to the cost of a one-off for a customer, just because the code is different, even of the board is the same. That really doesn't make sense for anyone. I think Micrium should consider some sort of quantity license variation, eg $3000 for the first 100 shipped binaries regardless of product. How can it be right to charge $3000 for a million set-top boxes and the same $3000 for a one-off + $3000 for the next one-off +....
