20 years agouC/OSII licence
Hello, Can you say me what are licence condition tu use uc/OSII with NIOS ? is there some royalties ? Thanks Etienne
in this case altera allow me to use uc/osii
also i'm studying uc/osii .in the kit ther is a labrosse' book about it .
i like this rtos but as i can read it's too expensive
i want to make my compliments to mr. labrosse , because he's very cleever
and performant man .i read his story in the book
but if i will finish to study this book , after what can i do?
my job is programmer plc and pc , and if i want to start to try something different , like embedded applications i will have too much problem , the first one is the price
mr. labrosse , i know the job it's hard and expensive , but one question :
why uc/os ii it's so expensive?
it's a pity , because if it was less expensive , may be many project programmer
wil buy it and use on own projects .
at the end , if you reduce the price you can sell more , and gain the same

--- Quote End --- Walter, I understand your concern. What may be expensive to you is a bargain for others. If you consider that uC/OS-II is certifiable for both avionics and medical applications, the cost for a license is a real bargain. Of course, if you are not doing an avionics or medical application, this doesn't affect you but, what's important is this certifiability shows that uC/OS-II is a quality product. Jean
